What is Starling Oracle?

It’s starling murmur season.A new practice is emerging with artist and spiritual practitioner Tessa Wills: a murmuration divination. Beginning at sunset, Tessa reads the shapes and patterns of the shifting, turning flock, to offer comfort and hope in times of change.What are you seeking? Bring your feelings, your questions, your seeking soul. The sky speaks, and Starling Oracle can hear answers, clarity and guidance.The dusk is your doorway to inspiration, healing and nourishment. It feels totally new and as old as the hills all at once. About your guide

I have spent decades working as a performance artist, counsellor, and space-holder in schools, festivals, museums, and witch camps.My practice has always explored liminality — the spaces between things. In the murmurations, I found a living expression of this: chaos becoming pattern, dissolution becoming unity. I found powerful guidance and healing through a relationship with this phenomenon, and have developed a set of reading practices and tools to interpret the dynamics.For me, Starling Oracle is the culmination of my work — and for those who attend, it is often a life-changing experience.The Starling murmurations are a free natural phenomenon to witness in Somerset. If you are seeking an enhanced experience of the murmurations, or if you are looking for guidance and interpretation, then Starling Oracle may be for you.

BOOK NOW FOR WINTER SOLSTICE

Now we move into the darkest part of the year, and messages from the unseen are easier to perceive. The Starlings will be with us to support you on your path for another few weeks. We have two dates in November, and three directly around the Winter Solstice available for you to experience the Starling Oracle.What should I expect?Tessa will take you through the details of the session and allow time to set your question for the session. At 3:45PM we will make our way the starlings’ location. Once the starlings begin their murmurations, Tessa will take a snap-shot divination reading for each person in the group in turn, through witnessing the movement of the murmuration. You will recieve a schema drawing of their movement. Tessa will then interpret the reading for you, giving you clarity and guidance on your particular question. We will walk back to the car park together for 4:45, or you can stay longer and enjoy the last flocks coming in to roost as the sun sets.Please email if you have any issues, or want to book outside of the dates available:
